Mac Excel 14.7.7 vs 15.4 issue

Hi All
This is driving me crazy:
In v14 if I go to a blank sheet and type anything and hit enter it's fine. In v15 if I do the same and hit enter, the workbook calculates. I tried this with the same workbook and I also disabled macros. It's a large workbook and takes about 15 sec to calculate and it's frustrating to do something on a blank page. I have to hit escape after hitting enter.
Is this a know change that occurred at some point?

Do you have a lot of formulas with volatile functions like OFFSET, INDIRECT, etc. in your workbook?

That's the reason. Try to replace those formulas if you can with formulas without such functions.

You might want to post some of the formulas here. You might get suggestions for replacements.

If it's not too complicated, can you explain why they're volatile? It's a pretty large and complex file. Is there a way to locate where these formulas are?
