I have two files that are linked to each other.
File 1 contains formulas that links to the data in File 2. File 2 contains data in Tables and the formulas reflect these table names. These files are saved on a shared drive.

let's say i create copies of both these files and try linking them respectively, i keep losing the references even though the files are identical.

not really sure how to explain this otherwise. let me know how i can provide clearer info?

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
only way i don't lose the references is if i have the files open and hit Save As and then change the file names, but that's not practical. i've never seen this problem before when changing links

still don't understand why I'm losing the references...even when I have the files I'm linking open...if I change the source to an identical file, with a different name....it takes forever to calculate and I lose the references in the end
