Loop through Powerpoint Slides

Well, I've nearly finished the presemtation i've been working on. The last thing I need is to number all the slides!

This is awkward because the numbering should start on the third slide, and the number of slides will be different every time the document is used.

This has led me to believe I need some kind of loop to run through all the slides and stop when there are no more slides left. However, I have no clue whatsoever about loops

I want the page number to appear in "TextBox4" on every page.

Can anyone help me out?

Hi

This is for PowerPoint version 2002 so yours might be different, click on Slide show from the top toolbar, then on Set Up Show..., and under Show Options there is a box to tick or remove the tick to alter the continuous looping action.

I'm sorry, I don't think you actually understood my post. I want to loop a code to insert a page number in a textbox on all the pages. Not loop a presentation. There's not much I don't know about Powerpoint itself, I just need help with VB.

Hi there,

Have you tried recording a macro of doing this? Tools | Macro | Record New Macro. This will give you a good start for what you are trying to do. If you need more help with coding it after that, then post back here and we'll get you setup. :)

Take care!
