so I have used this formula in the past and just tested on another worksheet and its working fine.. but for some reason in my existing 2 comparison files, this formula is only coming back #n/a and I cannot figure out why.

=MAX(IF('CC # to Customer Match'!$I$4:$I$3256='Customers with Card Changes'!D4,'CC # to Customer Match'!$E$4:$E$3256))

I am not sure if there is some formatting issue or what - help!!! please.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
You need to enter using Control+Shift+Enter as this is an array forumla.

Try =MAX(IF('CC # to Customer Match'!$I$4:$I$3256='Customers with Card Changes'!D4,'CC # to Customer Match'!$E$4:$E$3256)
