I would like to lookup a value in a table and have it return the lowest matching value

If I look up the age 6, it should return 39
If I look up the age 7, it should return 49

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
How about
Excel Formula:
=MINIFS(B:B,A:A,D1)
Where D1 has the age you want to lookup.
