Hi all,

Explaining situation: i have document with two tabs, one tab has data that will sometimes need yes selected from a drop down on two different columns (BB and BC) and sometime yes won't be picked at all

in my other tab i have one column and i want it to look to those two columns and if one column has yes i want it to use a specific word, if the other column has yes i want to use a different word, and if neither has yes i want it to be blank.

I am trying to use the IF OR formulas together but im having no success, any ideas? or did i explain it all wrong.

Thanks in advance.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
what if both have a YES

=IF( AND( BB2="" , BC2="") , "", IF( BB2="YES", "word1", IF( BC2="YES", "word2", "something other then YES in cells")

IF you only ever have a yes if they are not blank then you can ignore the last IF, and assumes never both YES

=IF( AND( BB2="" , BC2="") , "", IF( BB2="YES", "word1", "word2"))

All of this is in one sheet, but the concept should still remain same.

That worked, thank you so much, you've made that report so much easier going forward, thanks again
