Does anyone have a recommendation of some software that can aid in testing data conversions?

I would like to be able to compare the raw data plus the manipulations to the converted data.

The raw data may consist of 10 different files, and once converted it could populate up to 200 different datasets. For instance:

CONVERTED.FIELD1 = positions 3-6 of RAW.FIELD7 followed by positions 1-5 of RAW3.FIELD1

So I would like to be able to easily see the fields that were used to convert the data from the OLD DATABASE, and the converted data from the NEW DATABASE

Do you have any recommendations?
