Hey all,

I've been working with Excel and VBA now for a while, and I think I'm at a point where I'm experienced enough to create some general use tools in Excel, that I'd like to distribute for people to use n' such!

Only problem is, I work primarily in very specific projects, and I'm somewhat alienated to what "general use" applications for a programmed Excel tool would be. Does anyone have any ideas? I need something to fill my free time!

Thanks a bunch!!

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
theres quite a diverse use of excel - projects i have completed are dashboards for companies, golf tournament , rental/hire management , recipe costings , Margin/sales/Profit for retail outlets, time management calculated hours, in shift time, overtime etc and of course all sorts of financial projects

theres a considerable amount of templates on the internet available and quite a few are free...

just have a read through these forums and you will see the type of uses excel is put to

Hello Excel Guru! I am so delighted to see your post. I have beginner experience with excel and am slowly learning more and more. However, the project I want to build is completely out of scope! Basically I am attempting to track actual classroom time for individual students. Once the time has been entered, then I have to calculate to cost. I obviously can give more details if you're interested in my mess of a spreadsheet. Ultimately my dream for the workbook is to have macros set up to automate the data and calculations. Then all I would need to do is have a class list with the dates and times set up. I would select the class from a drop down menu and presto! Calculated and done. Am i dreaming or is something like that possible with VBA? Many thanks!
