How to use advanced functions in conjunction with other functions? What are the rules of syntax etc... The "Mastering Excel 97 fourth edition by Thomas Chester and Richard H. Alden" only covers the very basic. I would like to take a self paced advanced course that even covers statistical regression functions. And what the results mean..

I am willing to spend about $50+ on an excel book that comes with say some sample data on disks and then tutors folks on how certain simple functions like sumif can be expanded into
=SUMPRODUCT(--(Comp=H12),--(Category="Raw Material"),--(LEFT(DT)="i")+(DT="sa")+(DT="aa"),Activity)

The book should have good references, like from folks on this board, and should even get into basic macros etc.

I think my office would benefit from me learning more about excel.

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
There are some courses available in the shop that lean towards using Excel in a specific profession. I think that's the way to go (if your profession is listed) because there are SO many combinations of functions that I can't imagine a single book covering them all well.
What's your leaning? Accounting, engineering?
