Look up data in column and match with a list in another column

I have a table that contains 6 columns the first column is employee number, I then have a list of employee number in a separate column or sheet. I need to match the numbers from the short list with the ones in the main table and create a new table with all six columns on the matched numbers.

sounds like a Vlookup is required, or index match whichever you prefer.
