I have two columns of data - Col A has a list of invoices as at 31 Dec 2021 and Col B as at 31 Dec 2022, c 20,000 rows of data

I am trying to look up how many from Col B match Col A and so I also get #N/A, but having issues when trying to count and filter the output - the vlook up works fine.

When I filter on the columns for #N/A this also shows matched invoices and counting can not happen.

One fact to be aware of is there are duplicate Invoice numbers in both columns of data which must be matched or not - I wasn't sure if once a look up has been found it doesn't look for anther.

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
how about

Excel Formula:
=SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(A1:A20000,B1:B20000))
