LOOK UP and Count or SUM

Good Morning World,

I am looking for a formula which will look up a range of different value - i.e. Business / Central etc and return the sum of another value in a range of cells relating to that column value..

For Example

Look Up value "Business" in Column C - Range C1:C400 and then return the number of Y's associated in another Column A associated to Business
also Look up "Central" in Column C - Range C1:C400 and then return the number of Y's associated in another Column A associated to central.
