Hi- New to VBA and trying to perform a function to analyze a 3 column logic table based on certain conditions and then return a text value in another workbook. Logic table and desired output will be in same workbook, different sheets.

Logic table

Sec Type Mtg
Asset Backed AUTO
Agency Bond Mortgage Backed

Output in last column of large spreadsheet
If Sec = Asset Backed and Mtg=AUTO, return EC
If Sec= Agency Bond and Type=Mortgage Backed, return DEBT

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Hi Patty21643,

What do you want returned if neither of those cases are met? The formatting of your data did not come through well so you may need to list possible values under "Sec", "Mtg", and "Type" a different way for me to follow.

If there are only a few cases, an "If" formula may be the answer.

There are about 50 scenarios and based on the conditions will always return a certain value. Given the volume of scenarios figured an if statement would be too complex. Was thinking as else if then code.

Do you have a table of the scenarios that could be pared down to small small sample? I am thinking Index and Match but have to know more about the layout of the logic table.
