Live currency rate

Dear Friends,

I want to do the following in cell A1:


I want to incorporate a live currency rate in A1. I need there the value of 1 EURO converted in Moroccan Dirhams.

I want to incorporate a live currency rate in A2. I need there the value of 1 MOROCCAN DIRHAM converted in euro's.

Kindly advise.

Your symbol for converting Euro into Dirhams is EURMAD=X

That is to say: one Euro will buy this many Dirham. There is no reciprocal contract traded that prices Euro in terms of Dirham; for the Euro vs USA dollar exchange, there are two contracts traded (a USDEUR=X and a EURUSD=x) but this is not so for the Dirham. Simply take the inverse to ascertain the number of Euro that one Dirham will buy.

Hi, but the exchange rate is constantly changing. That is why I want to insert a live exchange rate to use in formulas. You can do that via: Data > From Web > Paste URL > Import, but it does not put the exchange rate in a single excel cell and therefore nit suitable to calculate with.

I don't understand. You object that the exchange rate is constantly changing and yet you want a live exchange rate.

Can you please provide a clear explanation of what you're after?
