My goal is to list the employee's start times on jobs in the Pivot Table, instead of performing any type of calculation on the data.

My Rows are Employee and Job Number. My Columns are dates.

An employee may work on multiple jobs during any given day, so I just want to display what time they started each job.

Can I do this in a pivot table?

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Hey ExFlyer,

I believe it would be possible, since times are have a numerical value in excel. You'll need the job listed in one column, doesn't matter if it's numerical or text. You'll need the start time listed in another column, formatted as time.

Create your pivot table, based on the data, set the Job into rows of the pivot table and the start time into values. Start time will default to count or sum most likely. Click on the arrow beside of start time, then go into Value Field Settings. Change it to show minimum start time, and change the formatting to time (1:30 PM)

I tested it in a new sheet and it works. I hope that it works out for your data too!
