Sorry guys I tried to find this answer before posting a question but I couldn't find a match.

I have the same database on two seperate computers. I want to link or even import the data between the two databases so they are always current. The name of the table is "patient." When I link or import the the information Access makes a new table called "Patient1." I noticed that the data is then being shared between the two database tables but when I try to view updated data from my form it doesn't reflect the new information.

What do I need to do to be able to view that information in "Patient1" so that i am seeing the updated information?

Thank you so much for any assistance provided!!

Michael

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
If you have the same database on 2 computers, is that because you have 2 users? If so, the best approach is to split the database and put the back end (with the data) on a shared drive. Then copy the front end (with the logic) across to the other machine, and you're both using the same data.
Go to Tools | Database Utilities | Split Database and follow the directions there.

If you import or link a table called patient into a database with a table of the same name Access will automatically rename like this.

What are you actually trying to do?
