I have set up a drop down list on a sheet using Data Validation. I am now trying to reference the selection that will be made in the drop down on a separate sheet in the same workbook, but when I do so I receive an #VALUE ! error. Note, that if I reference the selection in the drop down on the same sheet as the drop down list I do not receive this error. Does anyone know how to address this issue?

Can Excel fill bagel flavors?
You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK

Hi,

Create named range for cells in any sheet and then in validation list refers to that name instead of direct referencing to those cells.
