Hi Folks - thanks in advance for looking at this - appreciated.

I have the formula on 4 worksheets, A, B, C and D and in cell A1 on each sheet - the formula is =Sum(A2:A4)

If I have to change that formula, I have to change it on all 4 worksheets.

I am trying to place the formula on anther worksheet, E, that is then linked to all of the other worksheets - Cell E1 on worksheet E is =Sum(A2:A4) - when I change this, it changes the Cell A1 on all the other worksheets. I have tried the indirect function but it keeps coming back with an error - any help greatly appreciated - Thanks - Mark.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
You do not need extra sheets. Just select all the sheet tabs at once and enter the function in A1 as required. To select, click on the first sheet tab while holding the Shift button, then click the last sheet tab.Enter the formula in the visible sheet. It copies automatically to all selected sheets.

Hi arthurbr - Thanks for looking at this.

I simplified my question - I actually have 30 worksheets - and I need the formula linked for 26 of them - is it possible to do this without having to select all worksheets?

Just select the first worksheet while holding the Shift key down, then, without releasing the Shift key, select the last one. All in between will also be selected. ( BTW why do you want to do this?)
