Linking data from sheets

We have a transaction log which I would like to populate from the data of individual sheets, i.e. requisitions. As the sheets will be clones of each other certain data, i.e. requisition numbers would be diffrent (an individual indentifier) but would be located in the same cell on each sheet. So each requisition sheet (Req 1, Req 2, Req 3) would have it's respective number (1,2,3) located in cell C3 of that sheet.

Can I set up a column entitled Requisition Number on the transaction sheet which would be a lookup list of the requisition numbers of all the sheets as a drop down that I could pick and then have subsequent data columns linked from that element? Or can it be done from the inidviudal tabs?

thoughts? possibilities? out of the realmn of reality?
