Hi guys,

For the best part of 6 years I have toiled with updating 2 spreadsheets (one for manchester united football club's league games and one for their cup games).

I receive scores from email and whatsapp from 26 members who predict the scores for each game and I manually input this into spreadsheets (Google sheets). I have just about started to figure out a short cut by transposing (copy and paste the scores against each member's name) into the spreadsheet.

So the first tab 2017_18 season PL has each score input (which I am starting to transpose)
The second tab 2017 season_post newcastle (if you unhide the columns) is where I input the scores earned by members after each game for that month
The third tab 2017_18 season LT is where the league table is stored where I copy and paste the total from the second tab and sort it in descending order by highest score.

I now want to know from you guys how i can go about what i do more effiicently and effectively?

The scoring system is this:
If a member predicts a man utd win (10 points are awarded if man utd win)
If a member predicts man utd to score 2 (5 points are awarded if man utd score 2)
if a member predicts the opposition to score 1 (5 points are awarded if the opposition score 1)

Therefore should I maybe have split cells (and then IF formulas/VLOOKUPS? I.E. Cell 1: Result (man utd to win/lose/draw) Cell 2 How many will man Utd score Cell 3: How many will the opposition score? maybe this will be a way to go???

I have coloured/formats using google sheet's power tools for analysis i.e who gets the most correct scores etc. I will use the solution for this spreadsheet for the cup competitions which is the same concept, just a different spreadsheet.

My spreadsheet is here as I cannot post attachments: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dVNKUZ7OZzRUNGgSdi6LPaqURiFMJIj5/view?usp=sharing

Please help! thank you so much.
