Linking columns in mulltiple documents

I have a master spreadsheet and want to create multiple separate spreadsheets with just some of the columns from the master. The master is a growing spreadsheet. I need the separate spreadsheets to update information if it changes in the master. I have kind of managed to do it by copying and paste special (link) each column separately but this is quite time consuming when there's about 20 columns and about 10 or so separate spreadsheets. Is there an easier way to do it?
