Hi!
So I know how to link a cell to a different tab; however, the cell I want the information from is part of a table. And when I sort the table differently from when I first linked it (ex: sorted by A to Z but changed to Z to A) the cell now changes to whatever new information is now in that specific cell instead of following the data I needed. How do I link it so it follows the info and not the exact cell?

Ex: I link cell A3 from Tab 1 to A10 in Tab 2. A10 is part of a table that I’m now sorting by year instead of month so the info in A10 moved to B10. My linked cell in A3 still shows content displaying in A10 but I want it to follow to B10.

Hopefully that makes sense. TIA!

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
