LinkedIn profile lookup by email using VBA

I'm trying to find LinkedIn profiles based on emails that we already have. LinkedIn recently changed their site to restrict people's ability to find people's profiles by using their phone number in a hyperlink. When we discussed this change with a LinkedIn rep, they recommended that we use one of their APIs, or to access user profiles using Outlooks integration with LinkedIn. Has anyone set up an Excel VBA script that either uses LinkedIn's API or Outlook's inherent integration with LinkedIn to find a bulk list of profiles based on an email list? This is definitely stretching my skill set, and I'm hoping there is a resource out there that I have somehow overlooked, or that someone can give me a solid starting point.

Thanks!
