My workbooks contain a lot of formulas. When I have te workbooks open it causes excel to be very-very slow. I need to find a solution as it is affecting my work. Please help.

You can always temporarily turn off the automatic calculation ...:wink:

your file could be corrupted. I had one file, two sheets, three rows of data 50MB.
Copied the three rows in new workbook, it went to 4KB

Can you delete some parts or use paste as values to get rid of some of the formulas?
Make a copy with clear "Backup copy" and play with it.
