Linked tables

Ok... I have finished my project. ( thought I did, anyway?) Now I moved it to the production server. The .mdb has linked tables in it. They are linked to .xls spreadsheets. When I opened a report from the .mdb, I got an error that said "Microsoft Jet Engine can't find (.mbd tablename$)... I checked my queries and they had changed to use "AS Expr1) for each Selected field (which really screws up everything I use the queries for)

So I deleted the linked table from the .mdb and relinked it again. Is that what I'll have to do each time I move the .mdb and .xls? What am I missing?

I have never done this before so educate me please.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Yes because your on the network so the path changes when you move the .mdb.

You can use the "linked table manager" on the tools menu under database utilities to relink to the new path it is much quicker (check off promt for new location).
