Linked tabled to my SQL SERVER takes a lot of time to load

Hi, I need help on the following issue. I have my front end as Ms Access and Backend SQL Server. Infact I am still learning how to use. I imported all my tables from MS Backend to SQL Server. And then I linked my FrontEnd to the SQL. Everthing was going smoothly. I was amaze how quick the tables and query open. Really I was very enthusiasm.

However this morning, when I was trying to load a table in my Front End it takes an eternity to load. I uninstall everything and re-install. Nothing change. I scanned also my pc. Nothing changed. I also remove all ODBC drivers and then re-install, still nothing.

Can anybody help me on this issue. Thanks

If you have done all that I would say you have something wrone with the server, is it local server on your PC or network server

It is local. I am using express. Really I am cueless. I wrote a store procedure. It works perfectly when I execute same on sql server. But when I use same as pass-through query, no way to open the form. Can't understand why?

Hi friends I finally figure out what was causing my pass-through query and table link slow. It was taking an eternity to load. I have more than 243000 row.

In OBDC Data Source Administrator, Tab tracing, "When to Trace", "Machine-Wide tracing for all user identities" was enabled. Really I am not experienced with that option. I dont know what it really does.

But as soon as I stop tracing, I was back to my full speed. Really amazed with such performance. Hope this can help others.
