Hi All,

I'm working on an historic database somebody else created. Basically there is a table within it that updates from a spreadsheet saved externally that I create. When I saved down this spreadsheet today the link did not update within Access. How do I break the current link within Access and set it up again to the external spreadsheet?

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Are you exporting to the same XL file as the link? (Overwrite)
or are you making new files everytime? (Why)

if you overwrite, the link remains the same and should work.

Try using the LInk Table Managet to refresh the link.

On th External Data Tab, select Link Table Manager.

1) Click Select All or chceck just the excell file.
2) Click Ok.

When done, the links will be refreshed.
