I've got a number of linked table that I want to automatically refresh each time I open a database. I can easily do it using the Linked Table Manager but I want it automated so end users don't need to do it. Is there any VB code I can use. Thanks in advance. Rob

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
There is code around, but you'll also need a table that lists the default path and a second that indicates whether or not to link a specified table. How many users do you have, and is the number of linked tables variable or constant?
Also, can you use a UNC name to define the links?

Unless you are changing locations the links should refresh themselves.
UNC is using the network path rather than the mapped drive letter. something like:-
"\\MyServer\MyDirectory\MySubdirectory\MyDatabase.mdb"
Rather than
"G:\MyDirectory\MySubdirectory\MyDatabase.mdb"
