Linked Excel file text is right justifying

I have a linked XL file that I update and use daily. Pretty basic but when I open the linked file the 1st column the company name is right justified. I doesn't cause me any grief when I do my update queries but when I have to look at the table in Access it drives me nuts. Is there a fix for this in Access or Excel?
