I am trying to link to an excel spreadsheet.

When I go to File|Get extermal data|import
I navigate to the file. when I click on the file It will not show up in the Open box.
If I dbl click it, nothing happens.
The bottom tray says Link spreadsheet wizard but it never pops up.

Any suggestions??

Is there a way to import or link via VBA?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Look up the Docmd.TransferSpreadsheet method in the VBA help files, this will allow you to programattically Import a .xls file. The only thing about TransferSpreadsheet is that you must either know the filepath that you're going to be importing or you pass it into the method as a variable. If the filepath and name is dynamic (i.e. it will change) then you'll need to make an API call so that you can have your own customized Common Dialog Control. I have this code if you'd like it, but it's fairly intensive, so let me know if it'd be worth posting.
