Access doesn't support triggers so there's not a way of automatically updating sub-tables when the 'master' table updates.
If the 'link table' is the source of the 7 other tables' data then why don't use just write queries based on it? The queries will be automatically show the most recent data.
If you'd rather have 7 tables then you could perhaps run 7 make table queries when your database starts up. However, if the data in the source link table is changed then your 7 tables will be out of date.
Yeah thats what I am doing at present the problem with the table is it should already be split but some genius thought that it didn't matter if all 7 branches were combined into one table, thanks for your reply.
