Link excel document on SharePoint to access

OK so like the title says I'm trying to link my excel document in access I have done it before using the external data before but the links don't seem to work when I try using a document on SharePoint. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
