Link between Chart and Report

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to include a chart on my report. My reports has a query different from that of the recordsource of the chart but they do have a common field. However when I try to bind the reports, I get the message "can't build a link between unbound forms"

The report field is tasid
The chart intempid

I can't believe how difficult it is to get a chart working properly, I've never really tried to use one. How do you get rid of that sample data, and template-- North South East and West?
