Hi All,
I have tried and tried to get this to work but I am losing the will to live

I want to link multiple timesheets, then search a tab based on a member of staff name and look up the number of hours against a specific code.

Example.

Timesheets are per month named as JUNE 2023, JULY 2023, AUGUST 2023
Each timesheet has multiple tabs with staff names, Joe Bloggs, John Smith, An Other, etc
Each tab has hours recorded in column D,E,F against a Job Code in Column B

On a separate sheet I want to create a formula that searches each timesheet by staff name and job code and then display the hours either as a total of in separate columns whichever is easier

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Can anyone offer any advice please ?
First of all, can you please update your profile and let us know whch version of Excel you are using?

When you say Timesheets I assume that you mean Workbooks.

When you say multiple tabs, I assume that you mean Worksheets.

We need some data to work on so can you please use XL2BB to post some representative data?

What do you do when two or more people have the same name?

Is it possible to put all of the raw data into one sheet?
It will much easier for you do some analysis using standard Excel functions if data is structured like this.

Even if ths data is to be structured in a way in which you describe, it may be easier for some code to be developed to put it into one
sheet just for the purposes of analysis.
