Line Breaks/Enter not recognised in posts

Hi.I'm having problems with posts not recogising when i hit 'Enter' to start a new line.It displays fine when typing posts but when previewing or submitting it removes line breaks and post as one block of text as it seems to have done this time. For instance 'Hi.' should be on it's own line and the next sentence on it's own line.Hope that makes sense.Using IE8 - will test on IE9, Chrome and FF later when at home.

How precisely do you enter your post? What Operating System do you use?

I don't have this problem:

'Hi.'
Should be on it's own line and the next sentence on it's own line.
