Re: Limiting the list of one combo box from a choice in anot

I've done this before using instructions I found on http://support.microsoft.com . I thought that I had it bookmarked, but I can't find it.

Go there and try doing a search on cascading combo boxes. If I find the URL that I used I will post it.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Re: Limiting the list of one combo box from a choice in anot

Thanks fo that, I have already solevd that problem just today by using a requery macro. However it has spawned another issue which you may or may not be able to help with.

Now I have my list limited by the choice from the first combo box, when I try to choose an item in the 2nd box it will not let me. The message at the bottom of the screen says that I must save the record first before editing!

I have even tried to save the record and then choose an item but it will not let me. But say I go into design mode and then back to normal, it will allow me to choose until I change the First combo box again.

Any ideas!!!

I found it. Here is the link for the instructions. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;209576

I used these instructions and created three combo boxes and did not have the problem you described. Maybe there is something in these instructions that will help you figure out what you need to do to correct your current problem.

Hope this helps.
