hallo :)

hello friend :)

i might amaze you, but my message was indeed posted in the section "questions in other languages" :)
but, gladly, i will translate in short what it is about:

column av contains the names of all his/her children of that the person of that row. to count them there is a dot "." behind each name
so excel counts the dots to know how many children there are. column aw contains the number of children.

how can i formulate a sentence that tells me the names of all the children?
the endresult could look like this:

He has one child: Peter.
or:
She has three children: John, Mark and Suzy.

who knows how the make this formula work :) ?
thank you very much !!!

Can you post a small sample of data and what result you expect ?

hello,

thank you for your interest :)
it says in my post :

the endresult could look like this:

He has one child: Peter.
or:
She has three children: John, Mark and Suzy.

going from a list separated with a "." it should go to a list with a "," and a "." at the end of the sentence :)

of course the number of children is variable...

thanks for the help :-) !!!

for those who like to help : this is a resumé :

a person that has children has his name in column M and N. in column AW is a number (the number of children) could be a number from 1 to 18 or so...
in column AV the names of the children are written, separated with a "." : forex.: "John. Mary. Marc. "

in column F I would like to have a sentence saying: " Peter has three children: John, Mary and Marc. "

how can i fix that with a formula?

thank you :) !
