Hi all,

I need to carry out some analysis at work, looking at telephone calls coming in to the office. The problem is that I don't know much about statistics (e.g. how to calculate the sample size I'll need, or how to give a percentage confidence in my results etc). I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a decent guide for newbies?

I'm fine with general arithmetic and am reasonable with Excel (although not up to the standard of many learned people on here)!

Apologies if this is slightly OT. I've spent some frustrating time Googling - the only sites I've found so far give me the fear, to be honest - they assume too much existing knowledge.

I'd be very grateful for any help.

Many thanks,
Rogerrog.

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Oh top drawer, thanks a million slomobonobo... I've had a look through some of the introductory sections and this looks perfect for novices like me.

Cheers!
