Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
I've never used Libre Office so I don't know. But the easiest way to find out, is to try & open one.

If they are saved as ODS then Excel should be able to open them.
