Hello,
I know this site is for excel but I am trying to help a senior citizen using Libre Office Calc. He is trying to remove retained items in a pivot table. I know how to do it in Excel but not Calc. Does anyone know of a similar message board like MrExcel for libre office calc?

Are you trying to delete a row or column of data in Libre.
What do you call retained items....can you post a screenshot with a better explanation ?

In a pivot table filter there are items that are no longer being used. Want to get rid of those items that are no longer in the data table. Here is a link with examples of exactly what I am trying to do but in libre office calc. Excel Pivot Table How to Clear Old Items Easy Steps

Change Retain Items Setting in Excel​


To prevent old items from being retained in a pivot table, you can change an option setting:
  1. Right click any cell in the pivot table
  2. Click on PivotTable options
  3. In the PivotTable Options dialog box, click on the Data tab
  4. In the Retain Items section, select None from the drop down list.
  5. Click OK, then refresh the pivot table.
