I saw this "Starting on September 30, 2024, less secure apps, third-party apps, or devices that have you sign in with only your username and password will no longer be supported for Google Workspace accounts." and wanted to know if you fine people could tell me how if anyway this will affect me using Excel to send emails using VBA. I currently send reminders and schedules out using Excel to all employees of my department. I also send out payroll once each week using Excel so I'm concerned and wondering if any of you are also concerned or have thought about work arounds. Thank you.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
I'm assuming that you are sending the emails through outlook?

If so, this shouldn't change anything unless you are signing in using a macro. Usually for these types of situations, you are already signed into outlook, and when you use your macro you are essentially doing the same thing as clicking "new email" in outlook which doesn't require a sign in.

Actually I'm using Gmail and using the CDO mail VBA to send the emails. I have Less Secure apps clicked "On" in Gmail Security and using port 465 when sending the emails.
