Leading zeros not showing

Hi

I imported data into Access from a csv file. However, the postal codes (or zip codes) are comming out incomplete. For example, if the zip code is 0001, then Access is losing the 3 leading zeros, and giving me '1'.

How can I fix this ?

Not tested, but try importing the zip codes as Text, not numbers.

What about formatting the field as Memo?

The easy way to get leading zeroes for both Excel and Access is to use

RIGHT(100000+foo,5)

for 5 digits - adjust and adapt as appropriate.
