I am thinking about creating a switchboard in Access for different level of management and launching reports in PDF format. Is this do-able?

How do I set up security in the switchboard so only designated officers can view their departmental reports?

Thank you!!

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Call Shell() Will open almost anything. Keep in mind, this does not take Data from access and build a PDF file. It would merely open the application (Adobe Acrobat x.x) and then open the file with it.

This does not address your security question.

Store the PDF's in locations that will only let users with the right pemission open them. You need them in secure locations anyway to stop ppl just navigating to them and opening them by hand!
