How can i pull the data from the corresponding date with single party

I mentioned example of date in right side 1st April my latest data is 6,675

If we take into account that the data in the table starts from the third row, column A is the date, and column D is the balance, the date for which we are looking is in cell F2, then in cell G2 we enter the following array formula

=INDEX($D$3:$D$23;MAX(IF($A$3:$A$23=$F2;ROW($D$3:$D$23)-2)))

Can you please use this formula in excel sheet and repast the same. Your formula is not working with me. I tried many times.
