Hi,
What formula do I use to find out most recent date recorded from a list of clients?
Is the Maxif a good option?

Craig
Elizabeth
Linda
Roger
<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
21/10
Linda
22/10

26/10
Elizabeth

27/10
Linda

</tbody>
Eg: i want a cell to say that Linda's most recent date was 27/10.

Thanks
Gary

Hi Gaz,

Assuming your data is in A & B Columns, use CTRL - SHIFT - ENTER to enter the formula as an array;

=MAX(IF($B$6:$B$12=A1,$A$6:$A$12))

MAXIFS is a good (standard-entry) option.
