Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Here is a calculation that will work. Given a date field name "MyDateField", it will return the last day in that month:

MyDate: DateSerial(Year([MyDateField]),Month([MyDateFiled])+1,0)

For the last day of the current month, you can make use of the Now() function:

MyDate: DateSerial(Year(Now()),Month(Now())+1,0)
