I have a large file that is about 2,000 kb in size. I am looking to add more rows in it with formulas and when I do the file slows up. The file does contain a few Macro's. I have tried saving the file as "Binary" and I even change the Calculation Options to "Manual". Even with a smaller file size as a "Binary" it is still slow. Any suggestions?

Thank you

2,000 kb isn't large, so do you have images or volatile formulas that might be running

Hi,
2000kb per file is nothing and you should not have your excel any slower in performance. I had a file of size over 50MB with formulas which's quite large. Don't you have sth in the file itself like: images, loaded in documents, volatile formulas, macros ruunning either on either data change, double click etc...?

Regards,
Sebastian

There are no images, loaded in documents or volatile formulas (although there are some rather long formulas). I have one macro with a button in one spreadsheet to sort data in another spreadsheet in the same file. I also have two macros running in two different spreadsheets to print an area in another two spreadsheets.

Thank you,
