Keep trailing decimal number

Hi,
In below formula when i multiply both sides of a decimal number, its giving wrong result.
=LEFT(A15,2)*RIGHT(A15,2)

Cell A15 value is 29.14 =406 correct result
If value in cell A15 is 40.40 result should be 1600 but its giving 16
Please help.

There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Assuming it is alway going to be 2 digits-period-2 digits, try
Excel Formula:
=LEFT(A15,2)*RIGHT(TEXT(A15,"00.00"),2)
