Keep the Copy Function

Recently my employer upgraded my excel to 2016. It now has this function that saves your copy even after you perform another function. Where as before you lost you copy area and could not paste once you did something else. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

You cannot switch it off
But you can hit {Esc} key if you want to clear it
