Keep getting logged out

For the last 24 hours or so I have had to repeatedly log back in again. Also I keep getting server timeout errors (altho this isn't particularly unusual, altho I am more used to this happening after 8am EST rather than from 3am EST).

I'm not after a solution, just wanted you guys to be aware.

Richard

Maintaining your connection is a cookie issue, sir Richardster.

Delete it and reestablish a new one.

Also, be sure you're pointing to:

http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/

And not some IP address thingy address (I know, 'thingy' in a technical post).

Hi Nate

Right, I've deleted all cookies, logged back in again and I'll see how this goes - thanks for the suggestion!

'Thingy' is a well known technical term so you should not feel bad about using it here. It stands shoulder to shoulder with other technical descriptions such as 'whotsit', 'widget' and 'gubbins'.

By the way, I'd appreciate it if you could have a chat to the other East-Coast members not to log in and post until say the early afternoon - that would, I think, improve my Board experience for most of my working day. Thanks

;)

Of course not. I think I use the (so-called?) word in just about every other sentence. Nate probably has the Gmail chat logs to prove it. (I've taught him well). ;)

....thingy.

That may be. But I do not have any cookie issues with any other website. I have to login constantly.

It may just mean that there is a problem with MrExcel.com-specific cookie, versus all of your cookies.

Nate. Is there any way for me to fix it on my system? Can I write a simple script or something?

Thanks...
